Always free and open to the public, Oakland First Fridays is a family-friendly community event that celebrates all the good things that make Oakland special, different and unique. Oakland First Fridays Street festival happens on the first friday of each month, from 5pm – 9:00pm. located at the intersection of West Grand and Telegraph Avenue, and spans 5 blocks down to 27th Street in Oakland’s KONO District.

Black Joy Parade is a hyper-positive, family-friendly turn up that celebrates the Black experience and our community’s contribution to cultures past, present and future. We invite you to come be present, be creative, be open and be free.
The parade will begin on February 24, 2019, at the corner of 14th St. and Harrison St., Oakland, CA, at 12:30 PM. It will finish at the corner of Broadway and 20th St., and we will be celebrating in the four blocks between there and the corner of 22nd St. and Webster St.
